‘It’s packed and noisy, rowdy and messy, queerly experimental and reassuringly different’

★★★★ The Scotsman

Our cabaret nights showcase the best and messiest queer talent. We love the alternative, the queer, the messy, the political and the glitzy. We showcase drag, performance art, queer cabaret performance and more, featuring over 250 performers over five years. The show is hosted by queer feral creature Pollyfilla. The Pollyanna cabaret team features resident queen Desert Storm, DJ Aphid, producer Annlouise Butt, and we have worked with assistant producer Beth Sitek and DJ Sydd Viscose.

In October 2020 during the pandemic we produced Pollyanna: a real life show!

We have produced our showcase cabaret nights at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and throughout the year 2015-2019 and online in 2020. We have hosted over 250 artists across 75 shows and four venues, including our wonderful home venue Paradise Palms who have supported us since 2015.

“Pollyanna is the only queer collective you want to see this Fringe.’

“It is seldom you find a queer cabaret that truly delivers in all regards, but the diversity Pollyanna celebrates secures its place at the top of the list.”

“It’s packed and noisy, rowdy and messy, queerly experimental and reassuringly different – a welcome reminder that the Fringe is not only the place to catch a hot ticket or see a famous face but also to take a chance on the weird, the wild and the Weetabix, and then keep on dancing.”
